Dual Codes and Units

Substructure has the ability of dual codes. This means that the user has the option of using either the AASHTO LFD design code or AASHTO LRFD (Standard and California State Specifications) design code, in accordance with to AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges, 17th Edition, 2002 (LFD) and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 7th Edition, 2014 with 2015 Interims and classify sections into T/I/C (Tension Controlled/In-Transition/Compression Controlled) Section or design as per prior codes.

The program has the capability of dual units, either metric (SI) or US units. Although you can switch between metric and US units at any time during the program execution, some round-off errors may occur due to the conversion.
